Great Basketball in Mexico
Congratulations to our athletes for their unforgettable participation during the International Basketball Tournament at the Greengates School, Mexico City. Our students represented our school, on and offthe court, with a sense of dignity, pride and passion. With just one senior and no juniors in the squad, the girls captured the Gold medal after defeating the home team, Greengates School, by 2 points in a thrilling final match. The boy’s team came very close to winning the gold medal after being defeated by the Centro Universitario Mexicano by 2 points in the final game. Coaches Mendes, Beegu and Dias as well as the Athletic Director, Ms. Neíse Abreu, were very proud of attitude and behavior of our players during the entire trip. “Not every champion is a truly Winner, but every Winner is a truly Champion.” These words are particularly important to our seniors, Leo, Guilherme, Roberto, Daniel, Erick, Kevis and Angela, who will be graduating soon. Thank you and congratulations to the teams.
